What does no-churn ice cream mean?

You don't need an expensive machine to make creamy ice cream at home. If you want to make a simple ice cream with your favorite flavor this weekend, try making no-churn ice cream.

No-churn ice cream is an easy way to make homemade ice cream without a special machine, and it doesn't use eggs. It's also called American or Philadelphia-style ice cream. Most ice cream uses egg yolks for a custard-like texture, but no-churn is quick and easy to make.

The lack of egg and needing to churn makes an ice cream base with a similar taste but is a bit icier and has a shorter shelf life, though we find it hard to not finish it after a couple of days!

Are there any green tea desserts?

We can talk about our love for green tea desserts for hours on end! There are hundreds of twists you can make on your favorite desserts using green tea. One of our favorites is making an easy no-churn green tea ice cream.

Matcha green tea ice cream is a favorite in Japan and East Asia. It is often called matcha ice and has become increasingly popular in the United States in recent years.

This sweet tasting ice cream has a delicious earthy and slightly bitter taste to it that makes its flavor one of a kind. While most green tea ice cream recipes call for matcha powder, you can also make it at home using Salada Matcha Green Tea Blend tea bags.

Does green tea ice cream have caffeine?

Our green tea recipe below includes using our Salada Matcha Green Tea Blend tea bags which includes anywhere between 30-50 mg per cup. Each individual tea bag of our blend contains about 1-3% of matcha, and the rest is made up of green leave tea leaves. The caffeine in green tea varies and can be impacted by tea plants and its growing conditions, as well as how it’s processed and brewed.
